The Five Dollar Movie takes you on a journey to one of the most innovative and oddest versions of the gig economy: Fiverr.com. But it is also a meta-documentary that uses its subject to create the film—a documentary made about Fiverr, with Fiverr.
In October 2013 I took some time off work and travelled to New York City where I spent a week with my sister seeing the sights and meeting old friends. The trip was also an exciting opportunity to get to know some Fiverr users in person. I was also lucky enough to drop by Fiverr’s New York office where I ran into the companies founders Shai Wininger and Micha Kaufman.
No visit to New York would be complete without a trip up the Empire State building.
She showed us how she creates, shoots and edits video testimonials for Fiverr and gave us some juicy details about her ‘prank girlfriend’ gig.
Skinnybytara is probably best known for her yoga gig.
This is me meeting Adam Swart, Marketing Communications Manager at Fiverr, in the New York Fiverr office.
